I'm sorry I'm a loud coffee-maker. ~ I'm sorry I'm a loud cough-maker.

Green Grandma ~ My birthmother Mary

(He gave her this name because her car is a green-ish color. Now everytime he sees a car that looks similar to hers he squeals "Grandma Mary?!")

Last night I was putting him to bed for the night. This is part of our conversation:

Me: I love you, Boo-boo.

Elliott Richard: I love you too, Mommy. And I loves my Daddy. And I loves my toys. And Ennett John. And I loves my penis. Good night.

Me: Uh...yeah...so, good night Boo-boo.

Elliott Richard came into our room about an hour ago convinced that it was time to get up. Here are some snippetts of the conversation Rob and I had with him...well, what I can remember at least.

Elliott Richard: It's morning day!
Daddy: No, it's definitely not.
Elliott Richard: There was a bug in mine room. I don't eat bugs. Sometimes I eat hair but not cause I want to.
Daddy: Okay, thanks for that update.
Elliott Richard: Ew. Did you fell (smell) that?
Daddy: No.
Elliott Richard: Something fells (smells) funny, Daddy. Fell it. (Smell it.)
Daddy: (getting out of bed and leading Elliott Richard back to his bed) No thanks Elliott Richard. Let's go. It's time to go back to sleep.
Elliott Richard: No! It's only 9-up-up o'clock! It's to early to go to fleep (sleep)!
Daddy: Now you are just making up time to try and stay out of bed. Let's go...
Elliott Richard: No I not! Look it's 9-up-up-30 Daddy! It's not time for bed! See? See? See?!

Aren't 3 year olds wonderful? Now I'm sitting here, in Elliott Richard's room, waiting for him to fall asleep. I'm working on a post about what the past week has been like - it's a doozy of a post for a doozy of a week - and the child.just.won't.sleep! It's now 2:50am we've been trying since 1:30am to get him to go back to sleep. Someone shoot me. Please?

Elliott Richard is currently allowing his hair to "grow tall" by his request. When he wants it cut, we will have it cut. If you don't agree with this method, sorry but he's three and can't control much in his life so we've decided to give him control over the length of his hair. Anywho, in order for him to grow "tall" hair we bought some of that hair spray to detrangle his hair without the tears. After his tubby this morning, Rob sprayed Elliott Richard's hair and accidentally got some on his face, which caused his face to break out. This is the conversation that followed:

Daddy: Mommy, look at Elliott's face. He's all broken out.

Me: Boo-boo, come let Mommy see your face.

Elliott Richard: No Mommy. It's mines face. Get your's own.

Me: Baby, come here please.

Elliott Richard comes over and I check his face.

Me: Yeah, he's broken out but he'll be okay.

Elliott Richard: Mines face is not broken!

I *love* Simply Lemonade. It's actually sour and has pulp - yum. Well, Elliott Richard asked for some today so I shared. After he had finished his lemonade he had this to tell me:

Elliott Richard: Mommy, I really like your's lemonade.
Me: I'm glad baby.
ER: Yup, it's good fuzzy lemonade.
(Apparently, pulp is fuzzy. lol)

Then Trisha and I were sitting and watching television and she asked Elliott Richard for a diaper because his was "soggy". I gave her a diaper. Elliott Richard jumps off the couch, takes off the soggy diaper, leaves it on the floor, runs into Rob's office and pees on the floor. At this point Trisha told him that tomorrow she will take him to the store and buy him big boy undies. She even offered to buy him boxer shorts if he wanted. At this point he decided he wanted "boxers shorts". We've now learned that "boxers shorts" aren't actually boxer shorts. To Elliott Richard they are boxES of shorts.

I needed some pajamas to wear. Daddy offered his pajama pants and t-shirt. What wife can refuse her hubby's comfiest clothes? (lol) So I am wearing Daddy's comfy pajama pants and t-shirt. Elliott Richard is less than pleased with this arrangement.

Elliott Richard: Mommy, dose are Daddy's pants!

Mommy: Yes, they are.

ER: Take dem off!

M: Daddy said I could wear them.

ER: No! Take dem OFF!

M: Daddy, can I wear your pants?

Daddy: Yes, Mommy.

ER: Daddy, you wear Mommy's pants too?

Daddy has an XBox 360. On his 360 he has what Microsoft calls "Arcade Games", which are games that you can purchase on the XBox Live network and download. Elliott Richard is obsessed with one called "Marble Blast" where you control a marble and have to navigate through these courses. Unfortunately, Daddy was working on the computer. This is the conversation that followed:

Elliott Richard: I play Marble Bast?

Daddy: After Daddy is finished working.

ER: I know! I play Marble Bast. *points right index finger to the sky* Perfect idea!

Daddy and Elliott Richard are playing Hide and Seek. This is how it goes:

Elliott Richard: 1...2...1...2 Eddy and knots I come!
*begins looking for Daddy*
Elliott Richard: Daddy? Daddy, hair are who? Mommy, where Daddy go? 1...2...1...2 Eddy and knots Daddy!

Now Daddy counts and Elliott Richard hides.

Daddy: 1...2...3...4...5 Ready or not, here I come!
Elliott Richard: I come too!

there's be days like this.

Elliott Richard: giggling and driving cars down the back of the couch onto Emmett John's head
Me: Elliott Richard, we do not drive (read that 'drop') cars on Emmett John's head!
Elliott Richard: Saw-we. (Sorry) (Then does it again.)
Me: Timeout!
Elliott Richard: No! No! No! (as he sulks off to timeout)
Once he's in timeout this is what I hear:
Elliott Richard: No timeout! Mean Mommy! Where Daddy?
Me: Elliott, timeout is quiet time.
Elliott Richard: Wee me moan! Wee me moan! Wee me moan! (Leave me alone)
At this point I call Rob (who took Gavin to see Patty) so he can hear the cute-ness that is "wee me moan".
Me: Honey, listen to how cute Elliott Richard is.
Elliott Richard: I NOT cute! WEE! ME! MOAN!

I guess I should have listened to my mama, huh? *sigh*

I've decided to add a few new things to the blog. They were inspired by Lindsey's Rantings and My Charming Kids.

Thursday 13 ~ I will post a list of 13 things every Thursday. (I stole this from Lindsey's Monday 13 and MckMama.)

Twitter-isms ~ Whenever they arrise I will post Elliott Richard's newest words and phrases with translations (where necessary). (This is my twist on a cross between MckMama posting about Big Mac and Lindsey's Thursday Pablo-isms.)

Ah...true love...
