Bed Rest ~ Day 18 My Lil' Contry Bumpkin

Gavin's favorite song was Christina Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle". His favorite group was Dixie Chicks. If he wasn't very active, I could play Dixie Chicks and be rewarded with some "dancing".
Elliott Richard's favorite song was Christina Aguilera's "Can't Hold Us Down". (Notice a pattern here? lol) But really any Christina Aguilera song would do. He wasn't picky.
I think their love of Christina is what laid the ground work for them to have similar music tastes with Rob. Rob likes rock, 80's...basically all things with a strong beat and then country. I'm the opposite. I love country. I would listen to country and bluegrass and jazz all day. (Sadly I am alone in my love of jazz.) I like select songs from other genres but I am a country girl at heart, through and through. I even have a country accent on certain words and phrases. (frog = frawg etc)
Well it would seem that Tiny is a little more like me than the rest. ('Bout time!) I played Christina for him this morning fully expecting the pattern to continue. Nope. Tiny was quiet. There were a few bomp, bomp, bomps but no "dancing". Next I tried Rascal Flatts. (I heart Rascal Flatts!) Ladies and gents, we've got dancing! HAHA I'm no longer the only "country bumpkin" in the family! :)

Somehow - I think my Post on a similar topic inspired this one!! ;) Get down with your bad selves and the country!!! :) (Rodney Atkins is not only Hot but sounds great too! along with w/RF!!) A suggestion for the non-jazz lovers in your house - try looking for something more along the lines of a "swing" type Jazz. (Swing w/ a lot of sax ect) It's how I got Chris to listen to some classic Jazz :) (I like to "mellow out" with Jazz)
Guilty as charged! This blog was all your doing Nikky because I had to see if Tiny was going to follow in Gavin and Elliott's footsteps. lol
And you have no idea how excited I am to know that I'm not the only jazz lover out there! :) I mean I know other people enjoy it but I've never actually met them. Kind of like Santa or the Easter Bunny...you know they are there but you've never really seen them. ;) lol
My Papa (grandpa) is a HUGE Jazz and Willie Nelson fan... what a mix right? LOL it seems like everyone in my family (extended & immediate) have diffrent musical tastes. I look at it as being given the opportunity to be exposed to everything! :) it also didn't hurt my mom use to work for Tower Records & Blockbuster music (before & after i was born) so I've been around music my WHOLE life!
Last night before going to sleep instead of turning the TV off, I put it to one of those digital music stations (a Jazz channel) and fell asleep to it but before falling asleep baby O was dancing!
Do you put on music like on a normal stereo or are you actually putting headphones on your belly? Just curious.
Well.. I listen to the radio in the car a little louder then some (drowns out my own voice ;) I haven't put any headphones on my stomach - but Chris wants to eventually! (just to see what the reaction is)
